BeyondSA was born in 2024 when it became apparent in a community chat that a lot of the important information about moving and living outside of South Africa is not readily available online and some questions could only truly be answered accurately by people already living in another country abroad.
Every day new community members would ask similar questions that has been answered in the past, and because new members did not have access to the history of the chat we thought it might be an idea worth exploring to create the BeyondSA platform to serve this need for access to information and lived experiences.
Creating an ease of access to information for South Africans about moving and living abroad has become the driving factor underpinning our daily operation.
